Contribute to Equality Advocates

Contributions to Equality Advocates may be tax deductible, with the exception of certain contributions to events where the contributor receives something of value in exchange for the contribution. Equality Advocates Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contribution deductions are allowable to donors only to the extent that their contributions are gifts, with no consideration received. Ticket purchases and similar payments in conjunction with fundraising events may not necessarily qualify as deductible contributions, depending on the circumstances. See Revenue Ruling 67-246, published in the IRS’s Cumulative Bulletin 1967-2, on page 104, which sets forth guidelines regarding the deductibility, as charitable contributions, of payments made by taxpayers for admission to or other participation in fundraising activities for charity.

For questions about contributions you make to Equality Advocates you should consult with your own tax advisor.

Donors come in all shapes and sizes. Some of our donors send us a donation when they hear of an issue we are working on that is important to them.

Other donors come to all our events and give to us through their admission to an event.

Still others realize that donating to us on a monthly basis is a tremendous boost to our monthly operating expenses and do so easily through their credit card.

And some donors do all three. They support us every step of the way. You, too, can become a donor in any shape or size. Just check out one of the links below and choose your way of giving to the fight for LGBT civil rights in Pennsylvania.

There are three ways you can give!
